Elron approached Stratigo to plan, re-design and program its new website. As the planning stage started, the question was raised about why Elron had decided to build a new site. The typical reasons were given — they were not happy with the current site — its look, its content, its navigation, etc. But ultimately, they were concerned with increasing the company’s visibility on the Web.
That’s when they realized that they were still not addressing an important issue. That no matter how well the new site was designed, no matter how great an experience it would provide to visitors, visibility would not be achieved unless it became part of the planning. At this point, Elron chose WebWhile to join the web development team to assist in defining the focus of the site and optimizing the site in order to reach the relevant audience.
WebWhile helped Elron to define the target audience and then worked together with Stratigo to define a web site that would both bring the relevant traffic to the site AND provide an excellent user experience.
Through in depth research, WebWhile was able to determine how Elron’s potential audience actually search on the Internet. Then it was just a matter of refining existing content and developing additional content that would lead the search engines to the http://www.elron.com/ doorstep. There were some interesting challenges because it is a competitive industry and many players are competing for the same audience . “Even we have been caught by surprise at how quickly the great results have been achieved,” said Sheryl Sitman, Internet marketing expert for WebWhile Israel. “One week after the launch of the new site, Elron achieved first page ranking in Google, Yahoo and MSN for some of its most important and most competitive keywords. It went from virtually non-existent in the search engines, to a top ranking site - immediately after launch.”
